I usually just hear it in the background without any signal strength and have come to beleave its just a local interference or something in the radio. Until yesterday (25th May 2010)when sporadic E opened up the band and the tone went up to a S9 with some QSB.
My QTH is in locator JO89vr.
Tone is heard between 28.498 - 28.503

If you look at the noise in spectrumlab at 28.501, its the same noise mirrored at 28.470.47, 28.439.93, 28.378.87, 28.348.345, 28.317.8. thats about 30Khz between the tone, except that its not on 28.408 here.

Just a comment, i haven't made an intensive research to see if its other places, but its remarkable that its the exact same tone found every 30khz.

I should add as I was talking to him on MSN that James M6JAK was listening in for a short while at beginning of net, but could only hear a few stations. Hopefully I will get him to post what he could hear himself soon enough.

Hi, Made a few changes including a cleaner theme. Also a countdown to the next 2 nets.

The Guestbook is live, but moderated 100%, so any postings to it will not be published until checked.

Hoping to be able to link to a few more net users websites or at least their QRZ profiles.

Enjoy the changes
